Social Media & Marketing Assistant – Hospitality, Entry Level

About the Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic entry-level marketing assistant to support our boutique hotel’s social media and marketing initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site position based at our hotel property. You’ll work alongside our operations and food & beverage teams to create engaging content, manage social channels, and help drive community engagement and local partnerships.

No prior experience is required – we provide full training and support to help you succeed in this role.

What You’ll Be Doing

Social Media & Content

Create and manage social media content for our food and beverage outlets. You’ll develop content calendars, capture photos and videos, schedule posts, and monitor how our channels are performing. We’ll teach you how to use analytics to understand what resonates with our audience and optimize accordingly.

Marketing Support

Help develop and execute marketing plans that promote our restaurant and bar experiences, seasonal events, and special activations. You’ll brainstorm creative ideas for engaging the local community and help design promotions and events that generate buzz on social media and in local press.

Community Engagement

Build relationships within the local community and hospitality scene. You may attend community events to represent the hotel and explore new partnership and collaboration opportunities with local businesses.

Cross-Team Collaboration

Work closely with our operations, food & beverage, and corporate marketing teams to ensure messaging aligns and campaigns run smoothly. You’ll support event planning, PR activations, and influencer partnerships as needed.

Skills & Background Needed

You should have:

• Comfort and familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn)

• Basic content creation skills – ability to write captions, take photos, or shoot simple videos

• Interest in hospitality, food & beverage, or community-focused marketing

• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at once

• Comfort with public speaking and representing the brand at community events

• Enthusiasm for building local partnerships and spotting new opportunities
