Position Overview
We are seeking an engaging and professional on-camera reporter to host segments and conduct interviews for a local broadcast program. In this role, you will conduct interviews with guests and community leaders, working closely with producers and writers to develop compelling stories. You’ll develop strong journalistic instincts, build confidence on camera, and gain real-world broadcasting experience. No prior on-air experience is required—full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
• Host segments and conduct professional, engaging interviews with guest speakers and community leaders
• Work with producers and writers to develop story concepts and plan production schedules
• Research guest backgrounds and industry information to prepare thoughtful interview questions
• Maintain clear vocal delivery, professional pacing, and a polished on-camera appearance
• Assist the crew with basic technical and production tasks as needed
Skills/background needed
• Strong verbal communication and active listening skills
• Ability to think quickly and adapt during live or recorded segments
• Comfortable learning broadcast equipment and studio operations
• Reliable transportation for on-location shoots
• Based in or near the local area
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part-Time / Contract
