Overview
We’re looking for a part-time Content Creator to support our organization through photography, video, social media, and basic graphic design. This role captures and edits content from events, activities, and community life; creates engaging social media posts; and collaborates with team members to promote our programs and mission. This is an hourly position scheduled for up to 29 hours per week, perfect for someone building their portfolio in creative media.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Photograph events, activities, and community moments for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials
Capture, edit, and organize high-quality photo and video content that showcases programs, achievements, and community impact
Create engaging social media content, including posts, stories, reels, and other short-form visual content using photography, video, graphics, and written captions
Assist with basic graphic design and production of visual materials for social media, digital communications, print materials, and events, following established branding guidelines
Support website content, publications, promotional materials, and other creative projects by selecting, editing, and preparing content for digital and print use
Work on other creative projects as assigned
Skills/background needed
High school diploma or equivalent required. No prior professional experience necessary—we provide full training.
You should have:
Basic familiarity with photo editing software (such as Lightroom or Photoshop) and graphic design tools—or willingness to learn quickly
Comfort using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Microsoft Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
A positive attitude, self-motivation, and strong work ethic
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Discretion and integrity when handling sensitive information
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends as needed, and travel occasionally
Valid driver’s license
Physical requirements
This role requires the ability to:
Sit and/or stand for extended periods
Bend, reach, lift, and carry equipment and boxes up to 25 pounds
Operate a computer and office equipment (printer, calculator, etc.)
Understand written and verbal instructions
Communicate clearly with people at all levels of the organization
Perform basic mathematical tasks
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application
Contract length: Part-time, ongoing
Expected hours: Up to 29 hours per week
