Chat Support Agent – Healthcare (Part Time, Work From Home)

Roles: Chat and phone support for a healthcare workflow team. You’ll be the first point of contact for customer issues, triaging requests, resolving common problems, and escalating when needed.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Part Time, estimated 20 hours per week

Schedule: 1:00 pm–11:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Sunday (includes rotating weekends and holidays)

Skills/background needed: No prior experience required. Full training provided. You’ll learn on the job with a supportive team.

Location: Fully remote. You’ll work from home on your own computer with a reliable internet connection.

About the role

You’ll provide friendly, helpful support to healthcare users via phone and a ticketing system. Your main job is to handle first-level requests, find out what the issue is, solve it if you can, or pass it to the right team if it needs more expertise. Common tasks include helping with login issues, password resets, user account setup, and troubleshooting why reports or studies aren’t showing up.

You’ll gather all the details needed to solve each problem, document everything clearly, and keep users updated as you work through their issue. This role requires calm, clear communication and attention to detail—especially when supporting busy healthcare teams.

What you’ll do

  • Answer inbound calls and respond to tickets from healthcare staff
  • Listen carefully, ask the right questions, and understand what the problem is
  • Solve common workflow issues on your own when you can
  • Escalate trickier issues to the appropriate team
  • Document all case details clearly and keep track of progress
  • Give users regular updates and manage their expectations
  • Follow company procedures and help suggest ways to improve them
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow security and compliance guidelines

What we’re looking for

You should be comfortable working independently from home, staying responsive to calls and messages. Strong communication skills are essential—both speaking clearly on the phone and writing clearly in documentation. You’ll need reliable internet, the ability to focus on detail, and a calm approach when supporting stressed users.

If you have prior customer service, call center, or help desk experience, that’s great—but it’s not required. Enthusiasm to learn and a willingness to follow procedures matter most. Any background in healthcare is a bonus but not necessary.

What you’ll need

  • A quiet space to work from home
  • A reliable computer and stable internet connection
  • A phone for incoming calls
  • Ability to sit at a desk, use a keyboard, and speak clearly
  • Dependable attendance and commitment to your scheduled shifts

Why this role

This is a great entry point into remote customer support. You’ll get full training and work with a supportive team. The flexible part-time hours fit around other commitments, and you’ll develop valuable skills in troubleshooting, documentation, and customer care that can lead to bigger opportunities down the line.
