Overview
This position offers a unique opportunity to impact clinical practice by creating evidence-based medical content. You will spend approximately 80–90% of your time on editorial work, with the remaining 10–20% dedicated to maintaining your clinical practice. You’ll work with a team of expert physicians and contributors to develop clear, actionable healthcare information.
Full remote training is provided, overseen by experienced senior editors. You’ll receive extensive training in critical literature evaluation and content creation. All new work is reviewed by training editors until you reach independence. This role allows you to remain clinically active while developing your editorial expertise.
What You’ll Do
• Review and refine contributions from expert authors to ensure they address real clinical questions
• Monitor medical literature for new developments and identify topics requiring updates
• Systematically review existing content for accuracy, clarity, completeness, and clinical relevance
• Collaborate with authors, peer reviewers, and in-house editorial teams to ensure quality and unbiased information
• Work with editorial and graphics support staff to produce professional healthcare content
Skills/background needed
Required:
• Medical degree
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neurology
• Valid medical license in at least one U.S. state
Preferred:
• Clinical experience in an academic setting post-residency
• Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across different experience levels
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Comfort giving and receiving feedback
• Interest in critical analysis of medical literature (skills can be learned on the job)
• Commitment to maintaining 10–20% clinical practice alongside editorial responsibilities
Contract length: Permanent
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Travel: Minimal (less than 5% annually). In-person interviews may be required as part of the recruitment process.
