We’re seeking an enthusiastic entry-level writer and reporter to join our newsroom. You’ll cover local stories including city and county government, school news, sports, and community features. You’ll also take photos at local events and help bring your community’s stories to life for our readers.
This is a full-time, on-site position based locally. No prior journalism experience is required — we provide full training to help you develop your reporting and writing skills from day one.
Roles: Write news stories, conduct interviews, photograph events, contribute to community coverage across multiple beats including government, education, and local features.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Full Time, ongoing.
Skills/background needed: Strong writing ability, curiosity about your community, willingness to learn journalism skills. A driver’s license is preferred. No previous reporting experience necessary.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional evening and weekend shifts as needed for event coverage.
Location: Local, on-site position available.
