The Role: Visual Storyteller
As our part-time Content Creator, you will capture, curate, and share authentic stories across various digital platforms. Your mission is to connect our community and showcase the unique experiences of the people we work with. This is a contractor position averaging 5 hours weekly, split between on-site content capture and remote editing and scheduling.
Core Responsibilities
Content Capture: Seek out and capture high-quality photos and videos during activities, training, and community events.Storytelling: Develop compelling short-form narratives, captions, and posts that tell authentic stories in an engaging way.Social Media Management: Post content regularly across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter. Monitor engagement and trends to maximize reach.Event Coverage: Attend and cover community events and activities, with daytime availability required at least one day per week.Editing and Production: Edit photos and videos into polished, engaging content suitable for social media.Community Spotlights: Create features and spotlights that highlight and inspire community members.
What We’re Looking For
Creative Mindset: A passion for visual storytelling and a portfolio (or examples) demonstrating your ability to create engaging, dynamic content.Sports Interest: A genuine interest in and understanding of youth sports and community engagement.Social Media Experience: Experience creating content for social media accounts. Familiarity with current platform trends and best practices is important.Availability: Reliable daytime availability to cover events and activities at least one day per week.Flexibility: Ability to commit 1–5 hours per week with flexibility around event scheduling.Equipment: You’ll need to own and skillfully operate your own high-quality photo and video equipment (a professional-grade mobile device is acceptable).Self-Motivation: Capable of working independently to identify and create content opportunities.Approachable: Able to quickly build rapport with team members and community participants to capture natural, authentic moments.Attention to Detail: Focused on delivering polished, consistent content every time.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Ongoing part-time contractor role.
Location: Hybrid – on-site event coverage required one day per week; remote editing and scheduling from home.
