About this role:
We’re looking for a passionate Content Writer and Assessment Specialist to join our remote team. You’ll work with us to develop engaging educational content and assessment materials that help schools and learning institutions succeed. This is a fully remote position with the flexibility to work from anywhere.
What you’ll do:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and developing educational assessment content and materials. Your day-to-day activities will include:
• Write and develop a variety of assessment item types including multiple-choice questions, short-answer items, and constructed-response questions aligned to educational standards
• Use content management and database tools to organize, track, and refine assessment materials
• Create detailed specification documents, blueprints, and supporting materials for assessment projects
• Develop scoring guides and supplementary information for assessment items
• Coordinate with project managers to track schedules and share project updates across teams
• Work independently and manage your own time effectively on multiple projects
• Conduct training workshops on item writing and assessment development for various audiences
• Review colleagues’ work and provide constructive feedback
• Stay current with educational standards and best practices in assessment design
• Facilitate meetings with advisory committees and help guide collaborative work
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in education
• Experience in educational assessment (2-3 years preferred)
• Strong background in English/Language Arts or similar content area
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with standard tools like Google Docs, Google Sheets, and project management platforms
• Experience with teaching or special education is a plus
• Master’s degree in Education is preferred but not required
