About the Role
We’re looking for a skilled writer and editor to produce high-quality content and provide editorial support across our communications and marketing teams. In this role, you’ll develop feature stories, refine marketing copy, and edit materials to meet our editorial standards. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to identify stories, develop content, and deliver communications on deadline.
This is a fully remote position perfect for someone who enjoys both independent writing and working as part of a team.
What You’ll Do
Editing & Editorial Support
Edit and proofread a wide range of materials—event materials, newsletters, announcements, reports, and marketing content—to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency. You’ll maintain quality standards across all deliverables and support day-to-day editorial projects.
Feature Writing & Content Development
Research, develop, and write compelling feature and narrative stories. You’ll produce engaging content for web, blogs, and publications. You’ll conduct interviews, pitch story ideas, and craft clear, compelling marketing and advertising copy for campaigns and initiatives.
Publications & Project Support
Support the production of major publications by drafting and editing content, coordinating inputs, assisting with image selection, and partnering with design staff. You’ll track milestones and deadlines to ensure timely delivery and help adapt content for multiple channels.
Team Collaboration
Participate in editorial planning meetings, build working relationships across teams, and assist colleagues with editing and proofreading needs. You’ll provide updates on projects and help surface storytelling opportunities.
Skills/background needed:
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with ability to edit for clarity and consistency. You’ll need attention to detail, good project management skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience writing marketing copy is a plus. You should be comfortable with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, and collaborative editing tools. Experience with project tracking tools or digital asset management systems is helpful but not required. Full training will be provided.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome applicants with a background in writing, journalism, communications, or equivalent experience. While a degree is preferred, demonstrated writing ability and relevant experience can substitute. This is an entry-level friendly role—if you’re a strong writer with a genuine interest in storytelling and editorial work, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t tick every box.
Working Conditions
This is a fully remote role with flexible hours. You’ll primarily work from home using your computer. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support deadlines and projects.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Limited-term position, currently budgeted for one year.
Location: Open to applicants worldwide.
What We Offer
Competitive compensation, flexible remote work, generous paid time off including annual leave, sick leave, and holidays. You’ll also receive health benefits and the opportunity to grow your skills in a collaborative, supportive environment.
