We are seeking a writer and editor to assist in developing a comprehensive book documenting the history and evolution of a globally recognized research institution, with a focus on its scientific contributions and lasting impact in its field.

You will collaborate with institutional leadership, communications teams, and senior researchers to ensure the manuscript accurately reflects the organization’s history, scientific achievements, and impact on the field.
What you’ll be doing:
- Researching and synthesizing archival materials and research data
- Writing and editing manuscript sections to create a clear, engaging narrative
- Conducting and incorporating interviews with key stakeholders
- Ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout the document
- Collaborating with institutional teams to refine content
Skills/background needed:
- Experience researching, writing, and editing longer-form content or books
- Strong writing and editorial background, ideally in journalism or nonfiction
- Experience covering science, healthcare, medicine, public health, or related topics (helpful but not required)
- Excellent research and interviewing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet project milestones
No prior experience with institutional histories or science writing is required – we welcome writers from all backgrounds who are interested in learning and developing their skills on this project.
