About the Role:
This is a flexible, part-time position perfect for students interested in sports marketing, media production, and content creation. You’ll work across multiple areas including photography, graphic design, social media management, writing, and live event support. No prior professional experience is necessary — full training will be provided.
What You’ll Do:
• Photograph live athletic events and match day action across multiple teams
• Create graphic designs for schedules, rosters, promotional materials, and event announcements
• Manage and post weekly social media content to support team promotion
• Write game recaps, previews, and feature stories for department publications
• Support live game operations including event setup/teardown, scoreboard operation, PA announcements, and credentials management
• Organize and archive photos and videos in the department media library
• Handle administrative and operational tasks to support daily department workflow
Skills/background needed:
You should have at least some of the following (but don’t need all of them):
• Experience with photography and/or videography
• Familiarity with design tools like Canva or similar software
• Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts
• School newspaper, yearbook, broadcast, or similar journalism experience
• High school athletics experience as a student-athlete, manager, or statistician
• Comfort speaking or writing publicly (PA announcements, blogging, public speaking)
• Customer service or event support background
• A portfolio or samples of prior work (encouraged but not required)
Most importantly: you’re eager to learn, adaptable, and excited about sports and media.
Education Requirements:
You must be currently enrolled as a student, registered for at least six credit hours during fall or spring semester, or three credit hours during summer, or enrolled for the following fall semester.
Contract length: Through fall and spring semesters
Schedule: Flexible, part-time position. Hours range from 5–10 per week depending on your availability. Schedule varies by season and event calendar. Some evenings and weekends may be required to support home athletic events.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Location: On-site at the athletic facilities. Some work may be completed remotely where applicable.
