About This Role
We are looking for an Editorial Assistant to support our media distribution team. You’ll work on the creation, quality control, and delivery of descriptive metadata and artwork assets for television content distributed globally. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone detail-oriented, organised, and keen to learn the media and entertainment industry from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Research, compile, and quality-check descriptive metadata and artwork files for television titles
• Gather information from internal systems and standardise data into a central database
• Coordinate with sales, account management, and materials teams to support licensing deals
• Commission and track translation requests for content descriptions in multiple languages
• Organise and prepare artwork files ahead of delivery deadlines
• Proofread and export metadata in formats such as XLS, CSV, and XML according to client specifications
• Investigate and resolve technical issues and quality control tickets with guidance from your team
• Respond to client queries promptly and professionally, escalating where needed
• Contribute to maintaining and improving the metadata repository and documentation
Skills/Background Needed
Essential:
• Bachelor’s degree (any discipline)
• Proficiency in English business writing
• Competence with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Organised approach to managing multiple tasks and deadlines
• Professional communication skills
Desirable experience:
• Editorial proofreading or copyediting
• Creating or editing metadata and content descriptions
• Working with digital artwork files or specifications
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting technical workflows
