About the role:
We’re looking for an Entry Level Communications Specialist to join our team. You’ll handle incoming communications via multiple channels, manage message transmission, and respond to urgent requests. This is a fast-paced role that requires you to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks at once. Full training will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
You’ll work flexible shift patterns, including evenings and weekends, and be ready to respond quickly when urgent situations arise.
What we’re looking for:
You’ll need a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills are essential, along with a genuine ability to stay calm and focused when handling multiple communications at once. Strong listening skills and the ability to understand and act on information quickly are important. You should be comfortable working in a team environment, following established procedures, and maintaining confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication in English is required.
You must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a general knowledge and written assessment. A typing speed of 40 words per minute with 90% accuracy is required. You should be reliable, able to report for scheduled shifts on time, and willing to attend training as needed.
What the role involves:
This role is based in a fast-paced operational environment. You’ll receive and transmit messages, manage incoming requests, and dispatch responses. The work is detail-oriented and desk-based, requiring sustained focus and the ability to switch between tasks. You’ll need to listen carefully to information, process it quickly, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. You may be asked to help train new team members as you gain experience.
