Roles: Entry-level writing consultant supporting writers one-on-one at every stage of the writing process.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Ongoing, part-time, fully remote.
We are looking for curious, caring people who enjoy helping others grow as writers. No prior experience is needed and full training is provided. You do not need to be an English major or a perfect writer, and people from all backgrounds and subjects are welcome to apply.
What you will do:
Work one-on-one with writers on brainstorming, researching, outlining, drafting, revising and editing. Offer friendly support with ideas, organization, evidence, grammar and style. Help with essays, reports, proposals, resumes and personal statements. Take notes after each session and act on feedback to keep improving. Join paid orientation, training sessions, team meetings and peer observations, and help with special projects as needed.
Skills/background needed: Good communication, a willingness to learn, openness to different perspectives and a professional attitude. You will work from home, between 7 and 20 hours per week.
