About This Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Grant Writer to join our remote team. This is an excellent entry-level position perfect for someone passionate about nonprofit work and community impact who wants to develop their writing and fundraising skills.
As a Grant Writer, you’ll play a key part in helping secure funding that supports vital community programs. You’ll research funding opportunities, write persuasive grant proposals, and build relationships with funders—all while working from home with full guidance and training.
What You’ll Do
• Research and identify grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and corporate funders
• Write clear, compelling grant proposals and funding requests
• Develop grant budgets working alongside team leadership
• Submit applications accurately and meet all deadlines
• Maintain an organized calendar of application and reporting deadlines
• Prepare progress reports and grant compliance documentation
• Build relationships with funding organizations
• Work with team members to gather program data and success stories
• Track grant awards and funding performance
• Contribute ideas to strengthen fundraising strategies
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Comfort with Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Ability to work independently
• Genuine interest in nonprofit work and helping communities
Helpful to have (but not required):
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field
• Any nonprofit or fundraising experience
• Knowledge of nonprofit compliance and grant reporting
• Research and analytical skills
• Budget familiarity
