Grant Writer – Part Time, Entry Level

Role Summary: We’re seeking a Grant Writer to research and identify potential grant opportunities, write grant proposals, and manage the grant application process. You’ll work closely with our development team to create compelling grant proposals that support our mission of providing resources and education to underserved communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities through grant databases and other sources
  • Write and submit grant proposals to foundations, corporations, and government agencies
  • Manage the grant application process, including tracking deadlines and submitting required documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to create compelling proposals aligned with organisational mission and programmes
  • Maintain accurate records of grant proposals, submissions, and outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funders and grant-making organisations

Skills/background needed:

  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Ability to interpret and present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with grant databases and search engines
  • Knowledge of the non-profit sector and understanding of fundraising best practices
  • Proficiency with Google Docs and other word processing tools
  • No prior grant writing experience necessary – full training provided

Contract length: Part Time
