Grants Writer – Part Time Remote

Are you passionate about supporting nonprofits and making a real difference in communities? We’re looking for a dedicated part time Grants Writer to join our team. This is a fully remote role perfect for someone eager to develop their grant writing skills while working flexibly.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Part time, up to 20 hours per week

Location: Remote (work from home)

About the role:

As a Grants Writer, you’ll research, develop, write, and submit grant proposals to secure funding from government agencies, foundations, and corporate sources. You’ll maintain an organized grant pipeline, ensuring all submissions and reports are completed accurately and on time. This role is designed for someone who can deliver reliable grant revenue through strong writing, attention to detail, and effective coordination with team members.

Key responsibilities:

Grant Writing & Submission
Research and identify new grant opportunities from government, foundation, and corporate sources. Write clear, compelling, and competitive grant proposals. Prepare and submit all required application materials in advance of deadlines.

Grant Pipeline Management
Maintain and manage a comprehensive grant calendar, including deadlines, renewals, and reporting requirements. Track all submissions, outcomes, and funding decisions. Ensure no deadlines are missed.

Collaboration & Content Development
Work with program staff to identify funding opportunities that align with organizational priorities. Gather data, outcomes, budgets, and narratives for proposals. Translate program impact into strong, fundable proposals. Coordinate with leadership to ensure alignment with funding strategy.

Reporting & Compliance
Prepare and submit grant reports in accordance with funder requirements. Maintain accurate documentation of all grant-related activities. Ensure compliance with all funding guidelines and expectations.

Skills/background needed:

We welcome entry-level candidates and those newer to grant writing. You’ll receive full training and support as you develop your skills. Ideal candidates will have:

Experience in or knowledge of the nonprofit sector (preferred but not required)
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently and maintain accountability in a part-time structure
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
