Junior Grant Writer – Medicaid & Healthcare, Remote

Position Summary

This role involves researching, developing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for healthcare and social service programmes. You’ll support organizational growth by identifying funding opportunities and writing compelling proposals aligned with programme priorities and funder requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Grant Development & Writing

Research and identify funding opportunities from government agencies and foundations aligned with your organization’s mission

Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and funding applications

Develop programme narratives that clearly explain your organization’s work and impact

Coordinate data collection, budget preparation, and supporting documentation needed for applications

Compliance & Guidelines Alignment

Understand funder requirements and programme guidelines to ensure proposals meet all criteria

Track grant deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements

Ensure all submissions are accurate and complete

Strategy & Relationship Building

Build and maintain relationships with funders and community partners

Maintain a pipeline of potential funding opportunities

Support leadership with insights on funding trends and growth opportunities

Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Prior grant writing experience preferred but not required; full training will be provided. Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with data and budgets are essential. Experience in healthcare, social services, or nonprofit sectors is a plus.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
