We’re looking for an entry-level Grant Writer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone new to grant writing who wants to develop their skills in a supportive environment. No prior grant writing experience is necessary—we provide full training and guidance.
About the Role:
You’ll assist with researching funding opportunities, writing grant proposals, and managing grant-related documentation. Your main responsibilities will include identifying potential funders, preparing proposal drafts, tracking submitted proposals, and maintaining organized records. You’ll work closely with different departments to gather information and support the overall grant administration process.
What You’ll Do:
• Research and identify new funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities
• Review grant guidelines and assess funding compatibility
• Write and prepare grant proposals for government agencies, foundations, and other funders
• Draft proposal content and gather necessary supporting materials
• Maintain detailed records and tracking documents for all proposals
• Communicate with internal teams to collect required information
• Ensure proper filing and organization of all grant-related documents
• Support other grant administration tasks as needed
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email
• Experience with data entry and spreadsheets
• Able to research independently and stay organized
• Can manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to work with different teams
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in communications, English, professional writing, or similar field preferred
• Grant writing experience preferred but not required
• Office experience preferred
Contract length:
Part-time, up to 20 hours per week
