We’re looking for a Grant Writer to help identify, develop, and submit grant proposals that secure funding for important programmes and initiatives. This is a part-time position (20 hours per week) requiring strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
About the role
You will:
Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations and other funding organisations
Write, edit, and submit compelling grant proposals and letters of inquiry
Collaborate with team members to gather programme data and funding requirements
Maintain a grants calendar and track deadlines, submissions, and reporting requirements
Prepare grant reports and ensure compliance with funder guidelines
Assist in developing budgets and supporting documentation for proposals
Maintain organised records of all grant activities
Skills/background needed: Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or non-profit development is preferred. You’ll need strong written communication and storytelling skills, the ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines, and a high level of organisation and attention to detail. Experience working in higher education or with non-profit organisations is a plus. Full training will be provided to support your success in this role.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Part-time, 20 hours per week
Location: Fully remote – work from home
Equipment and tools: You’ll use a computer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Outlook, and Zoom to complete your work.
What we’re looking for: A bachelor’s degree is required. You should be comfortable communicating with students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders. You’ll need to be able to sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle materials, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear clearly. Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
