Overview
Are you an energetic, passionate technical writer who wants to inspire and support users? Use your passion for writing and interest in cutting-edge technology to provide customers with essential user documentation and enablement materials. In this role, you’ll make customers successful by creating documentation for enterprise software that helps organizations monitor system health, performance, and operational status.
You’ll work with subject matter experts and run the software to become knowledgeable yourself, then advocate for the user by creating meaningful content that communicates workflows, best practices, and troubleshooting guidance. As development processes evolve, this role will also support modern documentation workflows that incorporate AI-assisted writing tools. The ideal candidate is comfortable validating AI-generated technical content, testing software workflows, and ensuring that documentation remains accurate, reliable, and user-focused.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with software engineers to produce and maintain documentation of conceptual topics and step-by-step workflows
• Support a variety of user assistance materials, including installed and online help, tutorials, blog articles, videos, and other technical enablement content
• Manage documentation throughout the software development life cycle and ensure compliance with release requirements
• Be part of a documentation team to produce content that aligns with style guides and contributes to a consistent user experience
• Provide feedback on functionality and conduct usability testing as part of the product development team
• Work with product management and marketing to ensure a consistent experience across software and documentation
• Deploy and test software workflows to validate documentation accuracy and ensure user documentation aligns with real system behaviour
• Document new capabilities related to system monitoring, diagnostics, and operational workflows
• Evaluate and refine AI-generated documentation drafts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability
• Use modern documentation tools and AI-assisted writing workflows to improve content development efficiency while maintaining quality
Skills/background needed: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey complex topics clearly and effectively. Understanding of documentation workflows that use HTML, Markdown, or XML. Experience producing web-based documentation using a content management system. Ability to learn and use software with a customer-centric approach. Experience deploying software features in test environments to validate documentation. Familiarity with basic software testing practices. Strong time management and organizational skills. Comfortable with AI-assisted writing tools and evaluating AI-generated content. Full training provided.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
