What you’ll be doing:
Conduct research to identify suitable grant opportunities aligned with organizational priorities using online databases and donor management systems
Develop clear, persuasive, and comprehensive grant proposals tailored to funder guidelines, emphasising mission and program impact
Manage and maintain donor databases, ensuring accurate records of funding history, correspondence, and relationship details
Collaborate with programme staff to gather information and data that strengthen proposals and reports
Monitor grant deadlines, submission requirements, and reporting schedules to ensure timely completion of all deliverables
Build relationships with current and prospective funders through strategic communication and social media outreach
Assist in developing strategies for fundraising campaigns that support organisational growth initiatives
Skills/background needed:
Strong grant proposal writing skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives that align with funder priorities
Experience or willingness to learn donor management systems and databases for tracking funding and relationships
Experience managing donor relations and building long-term partnerships through effective communication
Familiarity with social media platforms to promote fundraising campaigns and engage with audiences
Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel for document preparation, data entry, and presentations
Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining professionalism
Strong research skills to identify new funding sources and stay informed about fundraising trends
Effective communication skills for team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
