We’re seeking a motivated, organised, and results-focused Marketing & Business Development Specialist to join our team. This hands-on role works closely with senior staff and leadership to strengthen client relationships, pursue new business opportunities, build our brand, and support continued growth.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who enjoys both strategy and execution. You’ll be curious, organised, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working directly with experienced professionals. You’ll understand how thoughtful marketing and business development can align our capabilities with client needs and turn ideas into meaningful opportunities. Full training will be provided.
What you’ll do:
Business Development & Client Support
• Collaborate with senior staff and the marketing team to identify and pursue opportunities to deepen client relationships and develop new business.
• Develop tailored proposals, pitch materials, and presentations that clearly convey our capabilities and value to clients.
• Create and regularly update pitch materials, service descriptions, experience lists, brochures and other business development materials.
• Support teams with business development planning, client outreach, and profile-building initiatives.
• Research clients, prospects, industries and market opportunities to support business development efforts.
• Track marketing and business development activities and help evaluate results and opportunities for improvement.
• Help professionals translate their experience and insights into compelling, client-focused messaging.
Digital, Content & Brand Marketing
• Draft, edit and publish content for our website, social media channels, email communications and other platforms.
• Create engaging social media content and maintain our social media calendar.
• Maintain and update website content using WordPress, with attention to search engine optimisation, usability and brand consistency.
• Draft, edit and maintain professional biographies, service descriptions and other website content.
• Identify opportunities to showcase expertise through thought leadership, media opportunities, news, events and client-focused content.
• Write and coordinate submissions for directories, awards and rankings.
• Support website development and other digital initiatives.
• Help ensure our brand and messaging are consistently reflected across all marketing and business development materials.
Events, Sponsorships & Client Engagement
• Coordinate educational programmes, client seminars, webinars, conferences, receptions, sponsorships and other firm events.
• Manage event logistics, including venues, contracts, catering, invitations, registration, presentation materials and follow-up communications.
• Work with professionals to develop programmes and events that provide value to clients and prospects.
• Support event promotion and post-event engagement.
• Coordinate participation in selected sponsorships, conferences, directories, and other visibility opportunities.
Internal Communications & Firmwide Initiatives
• Develop and distribute internal communications, including company news and team updates.
• Collaborate with professionals across all offices and departments.
• Support strategic, branding, and business development initiatives.
• Perform other marketing and business development responsibilities as priorities evolve.
• Travel occasionally to client events and company programmes.
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling communications.
• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence working directly with senior professionals and leadership.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with WordPress.
• Experience with Canva or similar design tools.
• Familiarity with search engine optimisation, digital marketing, and social media is a plus.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and willingness to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Contract length: Full time, permanent
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Location: Office-based with flexibility. After an initial onboarding period, there may be opportunities to work remotely up to two days per week, subject to performance expectations.
