Marketing Manager

Hands-on brand growth, content and customer acquisition.

Location: Local positions available.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours, with occasional travel and weekend events.

Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length: Full-time, permanent.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Manager to help grow a consumer brand to its next stage.

You will work directly with the leadership team to develop marketing strategy, strengthen the brand and turn good ideas into campaigns that produce measurable results. You will have significant ownership of how the brand looks, sounds and connects with customers across digital marketing, content, email, social media, partnerships, events and traditional media.

This is not a narrow corporate marketing position, and it is not a role for someone who only develops strategy and delegates execution. You must be equally comfortable building the plan, writing the copy, reviewing campaign performance, coordinating a photo shoot, managing a vendor and jumping in to get something across the finish line.

The right person will combine creativity with strong business judgment. You should understand that great marketing has to do more than look good—it must clearly communicate product value, strengthen the brand and contribute to profitable growth.

What You Will Do

Own the Marketing Plan

Develop and manage the annual marketing plan, calendar and budget.

Work directly with leadership and the team to establish priorities, campaigns and growth initiatives.

Identify the channels and opportunities that can make the greatest impact with a small-business marketing budget.

Keep projects, campaigns and product launches organized, on schedule and within budget.

Protect and Grow the Brand

Serve as a champion for the brand and customer experience.

Maintain a consistent brand identity, voice and message across every customer touchpoint.

Translate product features into clear, compelling reasons to buy.

Strengthen the brand’s position within relevant communities.

Conduct customer, market and competitor research to identify opportunities and improve decision-making.

Create and Execute Campaigns

Develop and implement campaigns supporting brand awareness, product launches, seasonal promotions and ongoing sales.

Write or direct effective copy for email, web, social media, advertisements, product launches and printed materials.

Build and manage a consistent content calendar.

Coordinate and contribute to photography, video, storytelling and product-education content.

Ensure that campaigns move from idea to execution without getting stuck in endless planning.

Drive Measurable Growth

Lead and improve paid search, paid social, SEO, email, SMS, organic social media and website marketing.

Evaluate campaign performance using meaningful business metrics, including customer-acquisition cost, return on advertising spend, conversion rate, email revenue and overall marketing efficiency.

Test new messages, audiences, creative approaches and channels.

Use performance data to make decisions, adjust budgets and continuously improve results.

Support both direct-to-consumer sales and the company’s growing dealer and wholesale network.

Build Relationships and Brand Exposure

Develop and manage ambassador, affiliate and influencer relationships.

Identify relevant product-placement, partnership, sponsorship and public-relations opportunities.

Build productive relationships with media outlets, creators, organisations and complementary brands.

Manage outside agencies, freelancers and media partners when appropriate while maintaining ownership of quality, cost and results.

Lead Events and Trade Shows

Plan and manage the company’s trade-show and event programme.

Coordinate show schedules, displays, promotional materials, staffing and lead follow-up.

Attend selected events and help represent the brand directly with customers, dealers and industry partners.

Skills/background needed:

At least 6 years of broad marketing experience, preferably with a growing consumer-products, e-commerce or outdoor brand.

A demonstrated record of growing brand awareness, customer engagement and sales.

The ability to provide specific examples of campaigns you personally helped create and the measurable results they produced.

Hands-on experience with several of the following:

Paid search and paid social; Email and SMS marketing; SEO and website content; Social media strategy and management; Brand voice and copywriting; Photography and video content; Ambassador, affiliate or influencer programmes; Public relations and media partnerships; Product launches and product-placement campaigns; Trade shows and experiential marketing; Print and traditional advertising; E-commerce analytics and conversion improvement.

Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.

Strong business judgment and the ability to connect marketing activity with revenue, margin and customer-acquisition goals.

The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, vendors and campaigns at the same time.

High standards for quality, accuracy and brand consistency.

A self-starting, problem-solving mindset with the ability to work without constant supervision.

Comfort working in a growing small business where priorities sometimes change and everyone helps wherever needed.

A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Marketing Manager in this role will:

Create a clear, consistent and recognizable brand across every channel.

Improve the quality and consistency of marketing content.

Build campaigns that are launched on time and measured honestly.

Increase brand awareness, qualified traffic and profitable customer acquisition.

Develop a deeper understanding of customers and what motivates them to buy.

Bring organisation and accountability to the marketing calendar and budget.

Take ownership, communicate clearly and follow through without needing to be micromanaged.
