We’re seeking a medical content writer to support healthcare content development on a flexible, contract basis. This remote role is ideal for a detail-oriented writer who can produce accurate, well-researched health content with minimal supervision.
You’ll work independently on a variable schedule, typically 5–20 hours per month, depending on project needs. This is a great opportunity to build experience in healthcare writing while working from home on your own terms.
What You’ll Do:
• Research, draft, and edit medical content for patients, healthcare providers, and the general public
• Create or refine scripts and written materials tied to health programs and clinical topics
• Review existing content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with current health guidelines
• Support blog posts, educational materials, and patient-facing communications
• Conduct research on healthcare topics and industry trends to support new projects
• Translate complex medical information into clear, accessible language for different audiences
• Identify gaps in existing documentation and suggest improvements
Skills/background needed: Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field, journalism, or equivalent professional experience. Some healthcare or clinical experience is preferred but not required. You should have strong written communication skills, attention to detail, and be comfortable working independently. Familiarity with medical terminology and online content platforms is helpful. You’ll use Google Docs, Google Sheets, and similar tools—training provided as needed.
Contract length: Ongoing, variable hours (5–20 hours per month based on project needs)
