We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Writer to join our team. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone beginning their career in medical and scientific writing.
About the role:
You will write and edit clinical and scientific reports, literature reviews, abstracts, posters, and other documents that require strong written communication skills. You’ll work closely with medical personnel, statisticians, and project teams to create high-quality documentation for regulatory submission and sponsor use. Full training will be provided, and you’ll have the opportunity to develop expertise in a specialized and rewarding field.
Responsibilities:
• Write and edit clinical development plans, study protocols, clinical study reports, and other regulatory documents
• Create templates and documentation frameworks based on established industry guidelines
• Prepare abstracts, posters, and journal articles in collaboration with statisticians
• Develop clinical sections of submission documents
• Write investigator brochures and regulatory briefing documents
• Participate in review meetings to discuss feedback and refine documents
• Maintain consistency of style, format, and content across project documentation
• Attend project team meetings as required
• Contribute to internal training materials and knowledge-sharing initiatives
• Support business development efforts and contribute to organizational publications
Skills/background needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, pharmacology, life sciences, or related field)
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Google Docs
• Familiarity with regulatory writing standards is a plus, but not required – we provide full training
• Experience with document management systems is helpful
• Willingness to learn industry-specific guidelines and best practices
