About this role
We’re looking for an entry-level journalist who is passionate about storytelling and ready to learn multi-platform journalism. You’ll create compelling stories, shoot and edit content, and share your work across digital and traditional platforms. No prior experience required – we provide full training.
What you’ll do:
• Develop and pitch story ideas
• Conduct interviews and research to find credible sources
• Shoot, write, produce and edit content for online and broadcast platforms
• Work under tight deadlines to deliver stories
• Use social media and digital tools to discover and share stories
• Enhance stories with creative production techniques, graphics, and multimedia elements
• Attend editorial meetings and contribute story ideas
• Write in an engaging, authentic voice
• Handle breaking news situations with composure
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to work calmly under constant deadlines
• Basic understanding of news judgment and ethical reporting
• Experience creating content for social media and digital platforms (or willingness to learn)
• Creative mindset and comfort with trying new storytelling approaches
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel to various locations for assignments
• Prior journalism experience is not required – we welcome entry-level candidates
Rate:
