About the role:
You’ll be involved in all aspects of the news gathering process—from pitching story ideas to filming and editing video, going live on air, and sharing content across social media and our website. You’ll work as a multimedia journalist, handling writing, video production, and social media posting as part of your day-to-day responsibilities.
This role offers hands-on experience in live broadcasting, breaking news coverage, and community-focused storytelling. You’ll receive mentoring and feedback from experienced journalists and news leaders who are invested in your professional development.
What you’ll need:
A degree in Journalism, Broadcast Communications, Digital Media, or a related field is required. You should be a creative storyteller with strong writing and organizational skills. Video editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro is essential. Familiarity with Facebook and Twitter for professional social media use is helpful. You’ll also need to be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds as part of the role, and a valid driver’s license is required.
