This is a full-time entry-level position in product ordering and inventory management. You’ll be part of a team dedicated to maintaining product availability and quality standards in a retail environment.
About the Role:
You will manage product orders, monitor inventory levels, and help maintain organised displays and stocking standards. This role involves working with ordering systems, tracking stock levels, managing replenishment schedules, and supporting the wider team to keep the store running smoothly. You’ll also help with customer special orders and work to minimise waste and spoilage.
What You’ll Do:
• Order products and maintain appropriate stock levels using established procedures• Monitor inventory reports and act on them accurately and on time• Complete required documentation including inventory worksheets and temperature logs• Organise and help develop product displays• Support the team with inventory checks• Ensure pricing and product information is accurate• Maintain a clean and safe working environment• Provide helpful service to customers and answer enquiries promptly• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties as assigned• Follow all health, safety, and food handling procedures• Help control spoilage and waste• Report any safety concerns immediately
Skills/Background Needed:
• Basic maths skills• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team• Ability to follow directions and procedures• Good time management and organisational skills• Willingness to learn about products and communicate this to others• Reliable work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment• At least 12 months of retail experience is preferred• No prior ordering or inventory management experience necessary – full training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly• Standing and walking for 6–8 hours during an 8-hour shift• Hand use including grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling• Ability to bend, twist, squat, and reach as needed• Comfortable working in varying temperatures including cold environments• Ability to operate equipment including box cutters, knives, hand trucks, and other machinery with proper training• Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
