About the Role
This is an entry-level position ideal for someone interested in developing writing and research skills. You will prepare proposals and related documents to apply for funding opportunities, research and organize data from various sources, and assist with technical writing projects. You’ll work collaboratively with teams across different departments to transform ideas into clear, compelling funding proposals and documents.
As you grow in this role, you may have opportunities to mentor other writers and take on more complex projects.
What You’ll Do
• Write and draft proposals, budgets, letters, agreements, and other documents required for funding applications
• Research funding opportunities and carefully read solicitation requirements to understand what funders are looking for
• Gather, analyze, organize, and properly cite data and research for use in proposals
• Work with team members across different departments to understand their needs and translate them into clear written documents
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at the same time
• Respond professionally to questions and feedback from colleagues and stakeholders
• Support team activities with written materials for presentations and meetings as needed
What We’re Looking For
• Strong writing and communication skills – a writing sample will be requested
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
• Comfortable gathering, analysing, and evaluating different types of data
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative team environment
