We’re seeking an entry-level Publishing Coordinator to provide editorial and administrative support to publishing leadership. You’ll work with authors, literary agents, and internal teams throughout the publishing process, helping bring books from manuscript to market.
This is an on-site position based at our office location.
What You’ll Do:
• Support editorial management of author projects, acquisitions, and special initiatives, including preparing financial statements and managing title records• Collaborate with authors and literary agents on manuscript development, payments, and sales information• Draft, edit, and maintain cover briefs, fact sheets, catalog descriptions, and other book metadata• Read and evaluate manuscripts, proposals, and materials submitted for publication• Generate reports using company systems, including publishing schedules, sales data, and performance tracking• Help organise and distribute materials for internal planning and publishing meetings• Attend editorial, acquisitions, and sales meetings• Manage administrative support for leadership, including scheduling, travel coordination, and expense reports• Support office operations, including mail management, vendor coordination, and supply ordering• Draft correspondence on behalf of leadership to internal and external partners
Skills/background needed:
• Interest in books, particularly non-fiction and inspirational titles• Some administrative or publishing experience preferred, but we’ll train the right candidate• Strong writing and editing skills with an eye for evaluating commercial potential• Ability to manage multiple projects and organise large amounts of information• Comfortable working with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Canva, and databases• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal• Ability to multi-task, prioritise, and pay close attention to detail• Proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
