About the Role
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable test prep instructor to help high school students master the SAT and ACT. You’ll deliver 1-on-1 and small group tutoring, teach proven test-taking strategies, and build student confidence. No prior teaching experience required – we provide full training and support.
What You’ll Do
• Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group tutoring across all SAT and ACT sections (Math, Reading, Writing, Science)
• Teach test-taking strategies, time-management techniques, and confidence-building approaches
• Create tailored learning plans and track student progress
• Adapt your teaching style to suit different learning needs
• Help students reduce test anxiety and improve their scores
Skills/Background Needed
• Strong understanding of current SAT and ACT formats, content, and test strategies
• Excellent communication skills and patience
• Passion for helping students succeed
• Ability to break down complex concepts into clear, simple steps
• Reliable transportation to attend sessions in person
• Flexible availability for weekday afternoons, evenings, or weekends (minimum 10–15 hours per week)
What We’re Looking For
This role welcomes entry-level instructors. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is a plus but not required. We provide comprehensive training to help you succeed. A background in education, strong personal test scores, or subject-matter expertise is valued and will be discussed during the application process.
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
Contract length: Ongoing, flexible
Location: In-person, local positions available.
Hours: 5–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
