About the role
This position involves more than just paperwork—you’ll be the key point of contact between customers, technicians, and management. When a customer brings in their vehicle, you’ll listen to their concerns, translate them into clear repair orders, build honest estimates, get approvals, and keep everyone informed throughout the process. You’re helping people get their cars back on the road.
What you will do
• Greet customers in person and by phone, and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns accurately
• Create repair orders based on technician findings—documenting the problem, its cause, and the solution
• Use shop management software to log labor hours and track repairs
• Cost out parts and labor to build repair estimates
• Explain estimates and timelines to customers, answer their questions, and arrange transportation solutions when needed
• Keep customers updated on repair progress, especially if work scope changes
• Process invoices and track vehicle completion and delivery
• Handle account and billing questions with professionalism
• Take ownership of unusual or complex requests and see them through
Skills/background needed
• No prior experience required—full training will be provided
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain repairs clearly to all customers
• Organized and able to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
• Patience and respect for all customers
• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus but not required
• Any experience with shop management software or automotive service is helpful but not necessary
Schedule
Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Approximately 47.5 hours per week
