Position Title: Social Media Assistant
Summary:
We’re looking for an Entry Level Social Media Assistant to help create, manage, and grow our social media presence from home. You’ll work on creating engaging content, monitoring audience interactions, and supporting digital marketing initiatives. This is a great opportunity to build real social media experience while working with a supportive team across multiple departments.
What You’ll Do:
• Create, schedule, and publish content across social media platforms• Monitor social media channels and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries• Coordinate with team members to plan campaigns and align messaging• Support promotional efforts and engagement activities through social media• Maintain the content calendar and assist with campaign planning• Organize and manage photos, videos, and digital assets• Track social media performance and prepare basic reports on engagement• Research social media trends and suggest new content ideas• Ensure all content aligns with organizational standards and goals• Support other communications and marketing projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student in good academic standing• Basic knowledge of major social media platforms• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Ability to create engaging content for different audiences• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications• Familiarity with content creation tools like Canva• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines• Willingness to collaborate with multiple teams• Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented approach to work
Background in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or Journalism is helpful but not required. We provide full training on all the tools and processes you’ll need.
Skills/background needed: Entry-level social media experience, familiarity with major platforms, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, organizational skills, basic content creation knowledge.
Contract length: Flexible, student-based schedule
Location: Fully remote – work from home
