About the role:
We’re looking for a Communications Associate to help us share stories and updates with our community. This role is more than just posting on social media—you’ll work alongside team members to identify interesting stories, create engaging content, and maintain a consistent presence across multiple communication channels.
What you’ll do:
• Create engaging social media content (posts, graphics, and videos) for Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms• Work with team leaders to understand upcoming events and develop creative ways to promote them• Design promotional materials using tools like Canva• Develop simple promotional campaigns from planning through follow-up• Help maintain a consistent and organized presence across all communication channels• Support email newsletters, website content, and announcement materials• Help establish and improve communication systems and workflows
Skills/background needed:
You’ll have experience with:
• Canva (or willingness to learn)• Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms• Email or newsletter platforms• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace• Basic photography and photo editing• Basic video editing
Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign is a bonus but not required.
A background in communications, marketing, journalism, social media, or a related field is helpful but not essential—we’re happy to train the right person.
