Social Media & Content Coordinator – Remote (Entry Level)

We’re looking for an Entry Level Social Media & Content Coordinator to join our team on a fully remote basis. This role develops creative, engaging digital content across social media, photography, videography, and web platforms. You’ll tell compelling stories through multiple digital channels, working with a supportive team and receiving full training to help you succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop creative, engaging content for social media channels, including content planning, publishing, and community interaction
• Manage social media accounts, monitor activity, and respond to audience engagement
• Create short-form video and multimedia content for social platforms and websites
• Capture and edit photography for social media, websites, and marketing materials
• Stay current with social media trends, platform updates, and best practices; adjust content strategy based on performance data
• Assist with developing and managing digital campaigns, including audience targeting and basic optimization
• Contribute to website content management, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency
• Apply best practices for SEO, accessibility, and user experience to digital content
• Analyse website, social media, and campaign data to inform content improvements
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to identify content needs and support their goals
• Attend events to capture timely social media and video content
• Help maintain digital content policies and best practices across platforms
• Explore new platforms, tools, and technologies to enhance digital presence

Skills & Background You’ll Need

• Strong writing, editing, and digital storytelling skills
• Basic to intermediate experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, or Pinterest)
• Familiarity with content management systems or website editing tools
• Comfort with photography or video editing (or willingness to learn)
• Basic knowledge of social media analytics and how to read performance data
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to brand consistency
• Ability to work flexible hours occasionally to cover events or content deadlines

Nice to Have

• Experience with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or SEO principles
• Previous experience with paid social media campaigns
• Knowledge of copyright, privacy, or web accessibility standards
• Experience with social media management tools like Buffer or similar platforms
