Contract length: Part time, ongoing
Hours: Approximately 5 hours weekly (20 hours monthly), split between on-site content capture and remote editing and scheduling.
The Role: Visual Storyteller
As our part-time Content Creator, you will be responsible for capturing, curating, and sharing compelling stories across various digital platforms. Your mission is to connect our community and showcase authentic experiences through engaging visual content.
Core Responsibilities
• Content Capture: Proactively seek out and capture high-quality photo and video content during events and activities.
• Storytelling: Develop compelling short-form narratives, captions, and posts that tell authentic stories.
• Social Media Management: Post content regularly and consistently across social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and others). Monitor engagement and trends to maximize reach.
• Event Coverage: Attend and cover events and activities, requiring daytime availability at least one day per week.
• Editing and Production: Edit photos and videos into engaging, polished content suitable for social media distribution.
• Content Features: Help create spotlight features and stories to inspire and engage our community.
Skills/background needed: We’re looking for someone with a creative mindset and a passion for visual storytelling. You should have proven experience creating and managing content for social media accounts, with familiarity of current platform trends and best practices. A strong interest in community storytelling is essential. You’ll need reliable daytime availability to cover events at least one day per week, with flexibility around activity scheduling. You must own and be able to skillfully operate personal, high-quality photo and video equipment (professional use of a high-end mobile device is acceptable). No prior professional experience is required—we provide full training and support.
The Ideal Candidate: You are self-motivated and capable of working independently to identify and create content opportunities. You’re energetic and approachable, able to quickly build rapport with people to capture natural, authentic moments. You’re detail-oriented and focused on delivering polished, consistent content every time.
