Role Summary
We’re looking for an enthusiastic Social Media Coordinator to help build and grow our online community over a 3-month initial period. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys connecting with people online, staying up to date with trends, and helping organizations create meaningful interactions with their audience. There is strong potential for this role to transition into a longer-term position based on performance and team fit.
This is a fully remote, entry-level position offering valuable hands-on experience in social media management and community engagement.
Time Commitment
Approximately 5 hours per week
Responsibilities
• Schedule and publish content consistently across platforms, primarily Instagram and TikTok, including stories and feed posts
• Monitor comments, messages, and mentions, and actively engage with the community in a timely and authentic manner
• Assist in brainstorming and suggesting content ideas aligned with current trends and community voice
• Track basic performance metrics such as engagement, reach, and follower growth, and share insights when needed
• Stay informed on social media trends, especially short-form video content, and recommend relevant opportunities
Skills/background needed
• Experience managing or contributing to social media accounts (personal or professional)
• Strong familiarity with Instagram and TikTok, including trends, posting strategies, and audience engagement
• Organized and dependable with the ability to post consistently and on schedule
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to engaging with online communities
• Interest in social media growth, community building, and digital culture
Nice to Have
• Experience using social media scheduling tools
• Basic understanding of analytics tools and performance tracking
• Familiarity with online communities and digital trends
