About This Role:
We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This is a hands-on, client-facing role for someone who genuinely enjoys social media, content creation, and working with people. You’ll work across multiple client accounts, helping turn strategies and ideas into consistent, engaging content.
This position is hybrid, with flexibility to work from home, but requires substantial time in the field visiting client locations, events, and content shoots throughout your local area. You’ll work directly with clients in their environments, helping them feel comfortable on camera, representing the agency professionally, and adapting when plans change.
You’ll collaborate closely with our internal team and clients to create content, manage publishing schedules, support campaigns, engage with online communities, and keep accounts organized and moving forward.
What You’ll Do:
• Create and publish content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms
• Attend client locations, events, and content shoots in your local area
• Work directly with clients to capture engaging photo and video content
• Help clients feel comfortable and confident during content creation
• Edit short-form videos, including Reels and TikToks
• Write engaging, brand-aligned captions and social copy
• Create basic social graphics using Canva
• Schedule and publish content according to client content calendars
• Research trends, sounds, formats, and content opportunities
• Monitor comments and messages and support community engagement
• Assist with brainstorming content ideas and campaign concepts
• Adapt content and writing to different client voices, industries, and audiences
• Organize client content, assets, calendars, and deliverables
• Track basic social media performance and assist with reporting
• Stay current on social platform updates, trends, and best practices
• Participate in team and client check-ins and collaborate on upcoming priorities
• Communicate professionally and proactively with clients
• Help ensure client work is completed accurately and on time
Skills and Background Needed:
• Strong understanding of social media and the differences between major platforms
• Strong writing and communication skills
• A friendly, confident, and professional presence when working with clients
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Comfortable communicating with business owners, teams, and other client stakeholders
• Comfortable directing and interacting with people during content shoots
• Flexible and able to adapt when schedules, client needs, or creative plans change
• Experience creating and editing short-form social content
• Working knowledge of Canva
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent organization and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, projects, and deadlines at once
• Ability to take direction and feedback while also bringing your own ideas to the table
• A dependable, proactive approach to work
• An eye for what makes content interesting, engaging, and worth sharing
• Ability to reliably travel to client locations in your local area
Nice to Have:
Experience with social media management tools, analytics platforms, video editing software, or similar creative tools is a plus, but not required. Previous experience in social media, marketing, communications, content creation, customer service, or a related field is preferred, but we care more about the quality of your work, your reliability, your ability to work well with people, and your willingness to learn than a specific degree or number of years of experience.
Position Details:
Contract Length: Ongoing, part-time position
Hours: 10–20 hours per week
Rate: Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application
Location: Hybrid with local positions available
Benefits: Flexible schedule, hybrid work arrangement
What to Submit:
Candidates should be prepared to share examples of social media content, accounts, videos, graphics, or other relevant work they have created. Selected candidates will also be asked to complete a paid project as part of the interview process, giving us an opportunity to see your creative approach and giving you a chance to experience the type of work you’d be doing.
We’re looking for someone who is creative, dependable, personable, flexible, organized, and comfortable receiving feedback. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who provides excellent customer service and understands that strong client relationships are a major part of great work.
