Social Media & Creative Associate – Remote

About the role:

This hands-on creative position focuses on social media management, short-form video production, photography, and digital design. You’ll plan, capture, and edit visual content; develop and publish engaging social media posts; and design branded promotional materials including flyers, graphics, banners, and digital assets.

Content will include a mix of planned campaigns, highlights, storytelling features, and coverage of events as they happen. The ideal candidate is a creative, organized visual storyteller who can manage projects from concept through publication.

Key responsibilities:

Video, Photography, and Social Media

• Plan, film, and edit short-form videos for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
• Develop creative concepts and visual storytelling that engages your audience
• Capture photographs and video content for campaigns, interviews, and events
• Create and publish content across social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Maintain a content calendar aligned with organizational priorities
• Create platform-appropriate content including Reels, Stories, carousels, graphics, videos, and captions
• Monitor comments, messages, and mentions; respond or route as appropriate
• Stay current on social media trends, platform updates, and emerging content formats

Digital Design and Promotional Materials

• Design promotional materials including flyers, social media graphics, email graphics, banners, and digital signage
• Adapt creative work for different platforms, audiences, and formats
• Maintain brand consistency across all creative materials
• Organize and maintain templates, photographs, videos, logos, and other creative assets
• Prepare files and coordinate with external partners as needed
• Apply accessibility best practices including captions, alt text, and readable typography

Website and Email Content

• Make content updates using a content management system
• Format and publish blog posts, features, profiles, and stories
• Create graphics and supporting materials for email communications
• Review published content for accuracy, consistency, accessibility, and proper formatting

Content Performance and Collaboration

• Review social media performance metrics including engagement, reach, views, and growth
• Provide regular performance summaries and use insights to improve future content
• Collaborate with team members to identify content needs and gather materials
• Support marketing initiatives by developing creative materials as requested
• Manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines

Skills/background needed:

• Portfolio demonstrating graphic design, photography, social media, and short-form video work
• Hands-on experience filming and editing short-form video for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube
• Experience creating digital and promotional materials such as flyers, social media graphics, banners, and email graphics
• Strong photography and visual storytelling skills
• Strong writing skills, including the ability to create engaging captions and promotional copy
• Familiarity with social media analytics and platform insights
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and as part of a team
• Experience with a content management system (preferred but not required)
• Basic knowledge of accessibility best practices (preferred but not required)
