Position Overview:
We are looking for a Speechwriter to support strategic communications and writing projects. This role involves crafting speeches, talking points, and written materials that clearly communicate ideas to diverse audiences. You’ll work on a fully remote basis, collaborating with senior leadership and subject matter experts to develop compelling content. No prior experience is required—full training and support will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Write and edit speeches, talking points, and executive communications for senior leadership• Interview subject matter experts to gather insights and translate complex topics into clear, easy-to-understand language• Collaborate with writers, editors, and team members to develop story ideas and content strategies• Research topics and prepare remarks for events and engagements• Draft articles and newsletters for publication• Create presentations to support speeches and events• Respond to feedback and adapt your work as priorities evolve• Attend speaking engagements and observe presentation styles
Skills/background needed:
• Strong writing skills with ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences• Experience writing in standard journalism and web content styles• Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, engaging content• Excellent research skills and ability to meet tight deadlines• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint• Comfortable working independently and responding quickly to feedback• Flexibility and adaptability when priorities shift• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or related field preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates
