Social Media Specialist – Entry Level, On-Site

We are looking for a Social Media Specialist to join our growing team. This is an on-site position based at our workplace.

Role Summary

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, creating, and executing engaging social media content and paid advertising campaigns that build brand awareness and connect with audiences across platforms. This role brings a creative, authentic voice to our online presence while using data-driven paid social strategies to grow reach and engagement. You’ll combine a fun, engaging personality with hands-on expertise in paid social advertising to help tell our story to current and future employees, customers, and the broader community.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, create, and publish engaging content across social media platforms including LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and YouTube

Plan, launch, and manage paid social advertising campaigns to support brand awareness and recruiting goals

Shoot and edit photo and video content, including short-form video for social channels using camera equipment, and coordinate photography and videography support at company events and employee spotlights

Manage paid social media budgets and optimize campaigns based on performance data and audience targeting

Maintain and grow a consistent, on-brand voice and visual identity across all social channels

Monitor social channels daily and engage with followers, candidates, and community members in a timely and authentic manner

Partner with Marketing, Communications, and Talent Acquisition teams to align social content with recruiting campaigns and company news

Track and report on social media and paid advertising performance metrics, translating data into actionable recommendations

Stay current on platform algorithm changes, paid advertising tools, and emerging social media trends

Monitor and help manage online reputation, including responding to comments and escalating issues as needed

Support other marketing initiatives as needed beyond core social media responsibilities

Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining punctual and regular attendance

Skills/background needed

Hands-on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid social advertising campaigns

Strong portfolio of organic and paid social content showcasing creativity and brand voice

Proficiency with social media management and scheduling tools

Working knowledge of analytics tools including native platform insights

Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills

Proficiency with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and video editing software

A fun, authentic, and engaging personality with creativity

Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines

Ability to work individually and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Effective verbal and written communication skills in English

High school diploma or equivalent required

Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.

Contract length

Permanent, full-time position with flexibility to support content timing and occasional evening or weekend events.
