We’re looking for a technical editor to join our marketing editing team. You’ll collaborate with designers, writers, and subject matter experts to develop a wide variety of content, from webpages and emails to technical papers and presentations. Your role will be to ensure all content is technically accurate, grammatically correct, and clearly written.
A typical day might include:
Copyediting or proofreading documents to meet grammar, punctuation, and style standards.
Collaborating with subject matter experts, designers, and writers to ensure content is accurate and easy to understand.
Rewriting content to align with established tone, voice, and brand goals.
Working with other editors to meet deadlines and maintain consistency across projects.
This role might be for you if you have:
A degree in English, technical communications, or a related field.
Strong proofreading, writing, grammar, and communication skills.
Experience as a technical editor, copyeditor, or in a similar role involving writing or editing technical content.
The ability to work independently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
A willingness to receive feedback and incorporate it into your editing process.
It’s a plus if you have:
Experience editing complex technical documentation.
Familiarity with desktop publishing software.
Knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style or similar style guides.
