About This Role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to join our aviation documentation team. You’ll be responsible for creating, revising, and maintaining technical documentation that supports engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory requirements. This role combines analytical problem-solving with clear technical writing — you’ll translate complex engineering data into procedures that maintenance professionals can follow safely and accurately.
This is an on-site position based at our workplace.
What You’ll Do:
Your day-to-day work will include:
• Review engineering data, drawings, test results, and supplier information to understand how modifications affect aircraft maintenance
• Analyze technical documentation and determine which procedures need to be created, modified, or replaced
• Write clear, structured procedures and supplementary content following industry standards
• Test procedures on-site to confirm that access, tooling, and sequences work in practice
• Maintain and update documentation through revisions and configuration changes
• Create maintenance manuals, task cards, service bulletins, and airworthiness content
• Read technical drawings and schematics to develop your own conclusions about what procedures must contain
• Review incoming revisions and bulletins to assess impact on existing procedures
• Determine maintenance intervals and inspection requirements based on technical analysis
• Decide when warnings, cautions, or graphics are needed to communicate safely and effectively
Skills and Background Needed:
Essential experience:
• 6+ years creating maintenance or airworthiness documentation for transport aircraft
• Experience writing Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, maintenance manuals, or maintenance program tasks
• Ability to work from raw engineering data — drawings, diagrams, structural data, and test reports
• Working knowledge of structured technical documentation standards and practices
• Experience with structured authoring tools in controlled environments
• Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks and industry standards
Preferred experience:
• Background in aircraft modifications or major structural programs
• Hands-on maintenance experience or relevant engineering certification
• Knowledge of simplified technical English standards for aviation writing
• Experience with maintenance program development
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaborative platforms
• Educational background in engineering or technical field
Rate:
Competitive entry-level pay, details shared upon application.
