We’re looking for an entry-level Technical Writer to join our team. You’ll create and maintain technical documentation, engineering manuals, operational procedures, and training materials by working closely with subject matter experts. This is a full-time position based on-site, with the opportunity to develop your skills in technical documentation and knowledge management.
What you’ll do:
• Create, edit, and support the development of technical manuals, maintenance documentation, system descriptions, procedures, and training materials• Maintain, update, and manage documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency• Build templates and automated processes to help teams follow documentation standards• Develop tools and processes for document and knowledge management across the organisation• Evaluate and recommend software tools to support document management• Ensure proper document marking, storage, and distribution in line with industry standards• Train team members on documentation tools, systems, and processes• Support other writers with guidance on company documentation standards
Skills/background needed:
• Experience with document publishing and management software• Strong organisational and multi-tasking abilities• Excellent attention to detail• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet business goals• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio)• Experience with professional document creation and management tools• A bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Nice to have:• Experience creating technical documentation in the aerospace industry• Background building technical libraries• Familiarity with technical documentation standards and systems• Experience with hypertext-based internal documentation• Familiarity with project tracking tools or document management systems
