About this role:
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer to develop, organize, and maintain company-wide policies, procedures, and training materials. You’ll work with teams across all departments to document workflows, create clear instructions, and build a centralized handbook of operational processes.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, organizing information, and translating complex processes into easy-to-follow guides. No prior experience in this specific field is required – we provide full training.
What you’ll do:
- Write, edit, and maintain policies, procedures, and standard operating guides
- Organize department-specific documents into a central handbook
- Interview staff and managers to understand workflows and processes
- Manage documentation projects from start to finish
- Review existing processes to spot gaps and areas for improvement
- Translate complex operational concepts into clear, user-friendly documentation
- Create and update training materials for employee onboarding
- Keep documentation standards consistent and organized
- Work with leadership to ensure policies meet organizational goals and requirements
- Handle sensitive business information with confidentiality
Skills/background needed:
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Strong communication skills – you’ll interview staff at all levels
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to understand complex processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred experience:
- Previous experience writing policies, procedures, or compliance documents
- Background in process improvement or operational documentation
- Experience with document management systems
- Training material creation or employee resource development
- Work in regulated industries (law, finance, professional services)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to commute to the on-site location
