Technical Writer – Product Documentation, Entry Level

As a Technical Writer, you will transform complex technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation that supports customers and internal teams. Your work will include creating installation guides, manuals, assembly instructions, and other technical documents for a broad audience.

In this role, you will collaborate with product, engineering, marketing, and service teams to ensure all documentation is complete, current, and meets established standards. You will help users understand, install, and operate products while contributing to an improved customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop, edit, and standardize technical content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency across all publications
• Participate in documentation and validation of technical processes, specifications, and product details
• Manage multiple writing projects simultaneously, communicating risks and identifying solutions to meet deadlines
• Apply established standards for formatting, terminology, grammar, style, and information structure
• Request and coordinate illustrations, photographs, diagrams, and other graphics to support content clarity
• Deliver completed publications to print vendors, digital platforms, translators, and internal systems
• Work both independently and collaboratively, adapting quickly to shifting priorities
• Analyze technical content to identify gaps and propose improvements

Travel: Approximately 10% travel may be required for this role.

Skills and background needed:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and/or technical background, with the ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts
• Exceptional writing, editing, and critical-thinking skills with attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, product teams, and colleagues
• Proven ability to manage schedules, multi-task, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing project needs
• Familiarity with design collaboration preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Full training will be provided on all tools and processes

Education and experience:

A bachelor’s degree in journalism, science writing, English, technical communication, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience are welcome. No prior technical writing experience is required — we provide full training for entry-level candidates with strong writing skills and a willingness to learn.
