About This Role
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help make complex software systems clear and usable. You’ll write documentation, user guides, and technical materials that help people understand and work with software effectively. This is a fully remote position ideal for someone eager to build a writing career in the tech space.
What You’ll Do
• Write user guides, operator manuals, and developer documentation that people actually use
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured language
• Create release notes and change documentation that explain updates in plain English
• Work directly with engineers and team members to understand how systems work
• Help organize and standardize how documentation is created and shared
• Test documentation in real environments to make sure it makes sense
• Take ownership of projects and ask clarifying questions to eliminate confusion
Skills/Background Needed
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to understand technical systems and explain them clearly
• Comfort working with engineering teams and technical environments
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to learn documentation tools and software workflows
• No prior experience required—we provide full training
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with Markdown or other documentation formats
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Understanding of Agile development processes
• Background in software, robotics, or related technical fields
Contract Length: Full Time
