About the Role:
We’re looking for a Technical Writer to support standards research and documentation initiatives. You’ll play a key role in researching emerging technologies, identifying documentation gaps, and creating foundational content that informs future standards work.
In this role, you’ll conduct literature reviews, map existing industry standards, and draft technical publications. You’ll help translate complex engineering concepts into clear, well-structured documentation that guides decision-making across the organisation.
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct literature reviews and research across emerging technologies and engineering domains
• Research existing industry standards to identify gaps and opportunities
• Develop technical briefs, executive summaries, and research documents
• Draft technical publications, including analyses and guidance documents
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and other writers to gather and validate information
• Attend meetings and interviews as needed to support your research
• Help develop and refine internal documentation processes and frameworks
Skills/background needed:
• Experience with technical writing in engineering, science, standards, or related fields
• Strong research and independent investigation skills
• Ability to read and summarise complex technical information
• Experience translating complex concepts into clear, audience-appropriate content
• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
