About the Role
Join our documentation team as a Technical Writer, where you will develop, maintain, and improve customer-facing product documentation. You will collaborate closely with product managers, software engineers, quality assurance analysts, and other subject matter experts to gather information about new products and features, transforming complex technical details into clear, accessible documentation for customers and internal teams.
You will create and maintain documentation for a diverse range of product areas. You will also process documentation requests from internal stakeholders, review existing content for accuracy and consistency, and deliver documentation on deadline in a fast-paced, release-driven environment. Your work will enable customers and staff to use products effectively and confidently.
What You’ll Be Doing
Creating product documentation and release notes for software products
Collaborating with product management, engineering, and quality assurance teams to gather information about new features, enhancements, and product updates
Coordinating with localization teams to manage documentation translations
Auditing existing documentation to improve quality and ensure accuracy
Working with a distributed team to champion continuous process improvements
Performing other duties as assigned
About You
You have experience writing customer-facing documentation for software products, or equivalent professional experience in a writing or communications role.
You have experience working within a formal content standard or editorial style guide and can apply it with precision.
You have experience writing release notes or product-change documentation for software releases.
You write for a global audience and understand how sentence construction affects translation quality.
You are comfortable working with HTML and using web-based content management systems.
You have strong attention to detail and high editorial standards.
You are self-motivated, skilled at managing your own work, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.
You enjoy explaining technical topics clearly and concisely to audiences with varying levels of technical background.
You welcome feedback and coaching from managers and stakeholders to develop your skills as a technical writer and improve documentation quality.
You are confident communicating with peers at all levels.
You have a good sense of humor and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
